Community members can drop off unwanted items such as appliances, mattresses, furniture and tree limbs. (Shutterstock) SANTEE, CA — Get rid of unwanted items and shred used paper at the Community Clean Up and Shred Event scheduled Sept. 16 at Santee City Hall. Community members can drop off unwanted items such as appliances, mattresses, furniture and tree limbs. The event is intended for household waste only, according to the city. People must show proof of residency with a driver's license or utility or Waste Management bill.
